In November 2009, Sheffield agreed a contract for a common patient administration system (PAS). The trust was using a CSC PAS at its northern campus, but a competitive product at its central campus. CSC won the contract for the trust-wide solution due largely to its previous record. The deal included support and maintenance services for six years.
