As a systems provider we of course have an advanced understanding of the needs of the UK health market, however, our consultancy services have been designed to be truly system agnostic and to make recommendations based on the needs of your organisation and not the limitations of existing systems.

We are also an advocate of lean healthcare, with many of our implementation and consultancy team members being lean process and six sigma qualified. In the current UK economic climate we believe these tools and techniques could offer our customers a real opportunity to make improvements across various healthcare settings.

Our clinical experts are also able to support and advise on the design and configuration of clinical information systems to meet the needs of end users or to raise awareness of such issues as clinical safety in healthcare IT.

Project Management

Project management has evolved into a paramount business discipline across all industries, company sizes and domains, and the importance of managing the cost, quality and timescale for any defined delivery has never been greater.

Within the IT and healthcare settings the complexity and potential consequences of failure have mandated a strong adherence to project management best practice, and project management in CSC is no exception.  The company is committed to the pursuit of flawless implementations, and continuously reviews its ability to plan, co-ordinate and control all aspects of the implementations it undertakes.

Every CSC installation will involve a concatenation of tasks, processes and constraints, and there is invariably a new and unique aspect to at least some links in this chain. 

The Professional Services organisation work within us to manage deliveries by:

  • adhering to best practice methodology based on PRINCE 2
  • utilising a Programme and Portfolio Management Office to centrally monitor and improve project panagement performance and maturity
  • ensuring all project teams are adequately skilled, overseen and peer-reviewed and
  • engaging proactively in an ongoing review of lessons learnt to ensure problem identification and resolution.

We embody many decades of experience in healthcare implementations, and can advise irrespective of project duration, healthcare speciality, or the specific ICT involved.
