Solution Overview

Reporting
Scribes provides effortless report generation with the provision of information structured in lists and pre-defined parameters, reducing clinician data entry requirements. In addition other reports (such as pathology requests) can be generated simultaneously and reprinted whenever suitable for the clinician.

Scribes converts data capture into clinical text and incorporates multiple images to produce a comprehensive report.

Reports and requests may be printed post procedure, and stored for access at a time convenient for their practice.

Streamlined process
Scribes streamlines the process of gathering clinical information during and after the procedure which is enhanced with results reporting. Specimen samples taken during a procedure are recorded within the clinical record and the data is formatted to create a pathology request form.
Scribes allows clinicians to track their pathology requests, by listing outstanding pathology results which can be sorted by date or doctor. Scribes can also be configured for auto-updating patient reports on the receipt of relevant pathology results.

Comprehensive patient record
Scribes also contains an electronic procedure record, which can be integrated with the existing Patient Administration System, to source patient demographic and episodic information eliminating duplicate data entry and reducing the time required for patient identification and selection.

Scribes therefore provides a comprehensive electronic patient record that will interface easily within the wider hospital information technology environment.

Image Capture
Scribes incorporates an imaging module for capture, storage, annotation and the inclusion of multiple images into reports. It supports the capture of high quality still images from the endoscopy video processor. Users can take as many stills as required for any given procedure and select specific images for attachment to the final report. All other images can be saved to be viewed separately from the report.
Image Capture also contains the facility to graphically annotate the images, together with the ability to create a classification tree to enable easy image retrieval at a later date.

Video Capture
Supports the capture of high quality video stream from the endoscopy video processor.

PAS/ADT Connection
• Allows Scribes to connect to an external patient administration system for retrieval of patient demographic and episodic details.
• Connections can be via flat text file, ODBC database or HL7 patient query.
